How to play AEON

A living world where every creature thinks with its own evolving neural network. Nothing is scripted; nothing leaves your machine.

Two ways to play

Survival Lead one people as their ruler. You set the laws and the big calls — your citizens live their own lives within your rules. Grow, research, war, and chase a destiny. You can win, and you can lose.

Creative Be a god with the divine hand — raise and lower land, grow forests, spawn life, bless food, or smite. No goals; just shape the world and watch it unfold.

Controls

Tap / Click select & inspect — a creature up close (its brain & lineage), or a nation / city zoomed out

Drag pan the world

Scroll zoom — one continuous space from orbit to the ground

Shift+Drag orbit the camera (in 3D view — toggle with the ◳ 3D button)

Space pause / resume · 1–5 simulation speed

Leading a people (Survival)

🏛 Found spend 10 gold, then click fertile open land to settle a new city

⚔ Command drag-select your soldiers, then click to move or attack

↑ Ascend step back out; your council runs the nation when you let go

Policies sliders set your nation's will — your people's brains do the rest. Hover any control for what it does.

How to win — and lose

Grow your population, climb the tech tree, adopt civics (governments), and survive your rivals. Pick a Destiny in the nation panel for a clear victory goal — reach a set number of souls, or be the last nation standing. If your nation hits 0 people, it's over.
