Is AdReel really free?
Yes. The free tier runs 100% in your browser with no signup and no server. Write or auto-generate a script, animate it into a video, narrate it with your browser's Web Speech voice, add a music bed, and export a WebM — all keyless.
What does Pro add?
Pro is bring-your-own-key. Paste your own GLM (z.ai) key for sharper AI-written scripts, and your own ElevenLabs key for a studio voiceover mixed into the exported video. Keys stay in your browser and are sent only to the official APIs.
Where do my API keys go?
Nowhere except the official z.ai and ElevenLabs endpoints. AdReel is a static page with no backend, no proxy, and no analytics. Keys live only in the page while it's open.
What format is the exported ad?
AdReel records the live canvas with MediaRecorder and exports a .webm at 16:9, 1:1, or 9:16. The music bed and any ElevenLabs voiceover are mixed into the audio track. Drop it straight into Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or your ad manager.
Can the browser voiceover be baked into the video?
The free Web Speech voice plays live in the preview, but browsers don't expose its audio for recording, so it can't be captured into the file. For voiceover baked into the export, use the Pro ElevenLabs option.
